Bondstone was founded by Rudi Myers, who is from Leeds and lives in Melbourne.

Rudi is a stonemason by trade and a software builder by habit. He has spent more than twelve years building software, and away from the desk he builds and modifies electrical hardware.

Bondstone came from building outbound tools and seeing what they were fed: lists that could not say where a single fact came from, sold to firms who then paid again to find out which facts were wrong.

The rule Bondstone is built on came from the trade first: you do not lay a stone you have not checked, and you do not say a wall is sound because somebody told you so. If it cannot be sourced, we don't say it.

What we read, and how we keep it

Every figure Bondstone publishes is counted from what businesses publish about themselves, and dated. Every finding it hands over opens to the record it came from.

Public records only
Websites, DNS records and certificates, Companies House, news pages, tenders and job adverts. Only what anyone can see.
Dated, with its source
Every finding keeps the exact place we read it and the day we read it, so you can check it yourself.
Nothing logged into
No port is scanned and no private file is asked for. We stop at what a visitor or a search engine can see.
Never named in public
Every example on this site is invented. A finding about a real business goes privately to that business, or to a client of ours who can help it, and never onto a public page.

Our own domain publishes an enforced DMARC policy, and its records are on the security page, read live.

Each practice puts the same reading of the open web to a different job, and each is priced on its own pages.

We also run growth services for businesses that want more customers: Lead Generation and Websites.

How we work

We built the software that reads the open web, look at everything the checks hold back, and answer the phone.

The reading is done by software, the same way for every business, under a published method. Every finding is checked before it is sent.
Anything the checks hold back is looked at by a person on our team, and nothing is sent until then.
The phone is answered by someone from our team, weekdays 9am to 5pm UK time, and the answer to "can you promise me results" is no.
Every price is published, in pounds, on the page of each service, and all of them on one page.
What we promise is in writing, on the page of each service and all of it on one page. Nowhere do we promise customers, meetings or rankings.
What we know is free to read, in plain guides for people who run a business, each with the day it was last checked.

The name

In a stone wall, a bond stone is the one laid through the full thickness, tying the two faces together so the wall stands as one thing rather than two leaning on each other.

That is the job every finding we hand over does, between what it says and the record behind it. The finding is the face you show. The record is the face nobody sees. The receipt runs through both.
